Cairo, July 29, 2025: Pakistan advanced to the quarterfinals of the World Junior Squash Team Championships 2025 with a dominant 2-0 victory over Poland in the pre-quarterfinal clash held in Cairo on Tuesday.

According to the Pakistan Squash Federation, the national side put up a strong performance to outclass the Polish team in straight rubbers.

In the opening match, Abdullah Nawaz faced a stiff challenge from Jan Samborski but held his nerve to secure a 3-1 win with game scores of 12-10, 4-11, 11-8, 11-2. His composed play in the final two games proved decisive in giving Pakistan an early lead.

Anas Ali Shah then sealed the tie for Pakistan in a gripping five-game encounter against Franciszek Michniewicz. Despite falling behind after the third game, Anas mounted an impressive comeback to clinch the match 11-7, 9-11, 10-12, 11-5, 11-3.

With this victory, Pakistan has secured a place in the quarterfinals, where they are set to face a strong England side on Wednesday.

The team’s performance has raised hopes of a deep run in the tournament as they continue their campaign in Cairo with growing momentum.
