Islamabad, October 8, 2024: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that it is unfortunate that despite giving China assurances of security, the Karachi incident occurred, in which two Chinese engineers were killed.

While addressing the cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister said that after the Bisham incident, a message of concern was received from China, and China was assured that foolproof security would be provided to Chinese citizens.

The Prime Minister added that during a visit to China, it was assured that strict security measures had been implemented, but still, an incident like the one in Karachi occurred, which is a conspiracy against the country.

He also said that the federal government is being attacked day and night, and in 2014, there was a months-long sit-in at D-Chowk, which was intended to postpone the visit of the Chinese president. The enemy’s intentions in 2014 are the same ones continuing today. The Prime Minister remarked that PTI did not take these matters seriously at all. Where there are sit-ins and vandalism, who will come and invest? Conspiracies are being made to cut the roots of the country, and this group is not willing to accept Pakistan’s progress. They are worried that if the economy recovers, no one will pay attention to them.”
