Dubai, September 10, 2025: Pakistan has moved up to fifth place in the ICC Men’s ODI team rankings, overtaking South Africa despite the Proteas’ 2–1 series win against England.
A heavy 342-run loss for South Africa in the final ODI proved costly, dropping them to sixth place with 99 points, while Pakistan climbed to 100 points. The Green Shirts are now just three points behind Sri Lanka in fourth.
India continues to lead the ODI rankings, followed by New Zealand, Australia, and Sri Lanka. Afghanistan sits seventh, ahead of England (8th), West Indies (9th), and Bangladesh (10th).
In the ICC T20I all-rounder rankings, Pakistan’s Saim Ayub has broken into the top 10, climbing five spots to ninth, level with Australia’s Marcus Stoinis. Mohammad Nawaz also jumped five places to 16th, while Shadab Khan dropped to 28th.
Elsewhere, Faheem Ashraf slipped eight spots to 54th, Abbas Afridi fell to 62nd, and T20I skipper Salman Ali Agha rose six positions to 77th.
India’s Hardik Pandya retained the No. 1 T20I all-rounder slot, followed by Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi and Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airee.
