Rawalpindi, November 25, 2025: Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, was denied a meeting with her incarcerated brother on Tuesday, prompting party leaders and supporters to stage a sit-in outside Adiala Jail.

Last week, PTI claimed that police had manhandled and violently detained Imran Khan’s sisters after they were refused their weekly prison visit. A livestream by PTI showed a large crowd chanting slogans, while riot police maintained a heavy presence.

Aleema, along with her sisters Noreen Niazi and Dr Uzma Khan, were stopped at Factory Naka by police. PTI supporters immediately began chanting slogans and staged a sit-in, joined by Majlis Wahdaat-i-Muslimeen (MWM) Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas.

Speaking to reporters, Aleema stated that she would remain at the protest site until allowed to meet her brother, questioning the heavy police deployment.

“At this time, it is the law of the jungle; they should be concerned that if they do not proceed according to the constitution and law, Pakistan will face the law of the jungle,” she said.

Aleema also condemned the treatment of her and her sisters last week, criticizing female police officers and accusing them of acting to please Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

“If they want to arrest us, we are not afraid,” she added.

PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh shared a video on X, showing Karachi General Secretary Arslan Khalid at the protest.

“The police are doing the same thing again. Our brothers and sisters are safe, and the PTI’s workers are here to protect them. Our demand is the release of Imran Khan,” he said.

Earlier, Aleema emphasized the legal and constitutional right to visit her brother:

“We come here legally. If we are attacked, it is unconstitutional. As Imran Khan said, the rule of law is being buried.”
