Rawalpindi, December 6, 2025: Security forces have killed nine India-sponsored terrorists in two separate operations conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
According to the military’s media wing, the operations were carried out in Tank and Lakki Marwat following reports of militant presence in the areas.
In Tank, security forces engaged the militants’ hideout and, after a fierce exchange of fire, killed seven terrorists.
A second intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat resulted in the elimination of two more militants, ISPR said.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, who, according to ISPR, had been actively involved in a series of attacks on security forces and law enforcement personnel as well as targeted killings of civilians.
The statement added that sanitisation operations were underway to clear the area of any remaining “Indian-sponsored kharji militants”. It reaffirmed that Pakistan’s counterterrorism drive under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative — approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan — would continue “at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism”.
Earlier this week, security forces killed seven terrorists affiliated with an India-backed militant outfit in two successful operations in North Waziristan.
Six militants were gunned down in an intelligence-based operation in Mir Ali, while another was killed in Spinwam following a brief firefight.
ISPR said the group had been responsible for multiple attacks on security forces, law enforcement agencies, and targeted killings of civilians.
