Islamabad, December, 7,2025: Pakistan on Sunday strongly rejected what it described as “highly inflammatory, baseless, and irresponsible” remarks by Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, in which he targeted the Pakistan Army. The response came through a statement issued by the Foreign Office (FO).

According to Indian media reports, Jaishankar alleged in an interview with NDTV that many of New Delhi’s issues with Islamabad “emanated from the Pakistan Army,” claiming that “ideological hostility towards India comes from the Pakistan Army.”

In a sharp rebuttal, FO spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said Pakistan remains a responsible state whose national institutions — including the armed forces — are fully committed to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“Pakistan is a responsible state, and all its institutions, including the armed forces, are pillars of national security, dedicated to safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country,” Andrabi said.

He noted that the events of May 2025 were a clear demonstration of the professionalism and resolve of Pakistan’s military in countering Indian aggression.

“The May 2025 conflict vividly demonstrated the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces and their resolve to defend the motherland and the people of Pakistan against any Indian aggression in a befitting, effective, yet responsible manner. No amount of propaganda can belie this truth,” the statement added.

The spokesperson said that Indian leadership’s attempts to malign Pakistan’s institutions were part of a broader propaganda campaign aimed at diverting attention from New Delhi’s “destabilising actions in the region and beyond,” as well as India’s alleged state-sponsored terrorism inside Pakistan.

“Such incendiary rhetoric only exemplifies the extent of India’s disregard for peace and stability in our region,” the FO maintained.

Andrabi further said that instead of making “misleading remarks” about Pakistan’s armed forces, Indian authorities should introspect and investigate the “fascist and revisionist Hindutva ideology” that has led to mob violence, lynchings, arbitrary detentions, and the demolition of properties and places of worship.

“Indian state and leadership both have become hostages of this terror in the name of religion,” he added.

Despite heightened tensions, the spokesperson reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to “coexistence, dialogue, and diplomacy,” while making it clear that the country is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and national interests.
