Pakistan, Indonesia reaffirm commitment to strengthen trade ties, conclude CEPA by 2027

Jakarta, January 7, 2026: Ambassador of Pakistan to Indonesia, H.E. Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri, on Wednesday held a productive meeting with the Vice Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Dyah Roro Esti, focusing on ways to further enhance bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on strengthening trade relations, boosting bilateral trade volumes, and exploring new avenues for economic partnership. They also emphasized the importance of deepening institutional collaboration to support sustainable and mutually beneficial economic engagement.

The two sides reiterated their shared resolve to work closely toward the timely conclusion of the Pakistan–Indonesia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) by 2027. The agreement is expected to unlock new opportunities for businesses in both countries and further solidify long-term economic cooperation between Pakistan and Indonesia.
