Islamabad, January 20,2026: Muhammad Sadiq Khan, Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, received Richard Lindsay, the United Kingdom’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, in Islamabad for discussions on regional security and stability.
During the meeting, both sides focused on the evolving regional security situation, with particular emphasis on the urgent challenge posed by cross border terrorist attacks. The two envoys exchanged views on recent developments in and around Afghanistan, as well as broader security challenges affecting the region.
The discussions underscored the importance of continued cooperation and close coordination between Pakistan and the United Kingdom to address shared security concerns. Both representatives reaffirmed their commitment to working together to promote peace, stability, and security in the region.
