Islamabad, February 2, 2026: The Senate of Pakistan, in its capacity as the House of the Federation, has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan, expressing deep condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
In a resolution passed unanimously, the Senate paid tribute to the courage and sacrifices of security forces and law-enforcement agencies, who continue to risk their lives in the line of duty to protect citizens and defend the country.
The House reaffirmed its commitment to peace, development, and political inclusion in Balochistan, emphasizing that sustainable security is closely linked to socio-economic progress, good governance, and respect for constitutional rights.
The Senate reiterated the resolve of the Pakistani nation that terrorism shall not be allowed to succeed, and that the unity of the State and the will of the people will prevail over all forces of violence, extremism, and terrorism.
The resolution called upon the Government to ensure a transparent, swift, and conclusive investigation into the incidents and to bring the perpetrators, facilitators, and both local and international sponsors of terrorism to justice in accordance with the law.
Additionally, the Senate urged the Federal and Provincial Governments to further strengthen intelligence coordination, border security, and counter-terrorism mechanisms, with special focus on Balochistan, to prevent such incidents in the future.
