Islamabad, October 29, 2024- A second daylight bank robbery within two days has struck Islamabad, claimed one life and injured several others. The latest incident unfolded in Sector G-9/4, where armed robbers targeted an Askari Bank vehicle delivering cash to a National Bank branch.

Eyewitnesses report that the robbers, who wore helmets to obscure their identities, fired on security guards before fleeing with a bag of cash. The crossfire left two security guards and three bystanders, employees at a nearby hotel, injured. Tragically, one of the hotel employees later succumbed to injuries at PIMS hospital.

This incident follows another armed bank robbery in Sector G-15 just yesterday, which resulted in the fatal shooting of a security guard. In a separate attack in Sector I-9, gunfire on a bank van left another security guard injured.
