Islamabad, February 15, 2026: At the invitation of Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker, Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will undertake an official visit to Vienna, Austria, on February 15–16, 2026.

The Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi, and Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch.

The visit coincides with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Austria. During his stay, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold bilateral talks with Chancellor Christian Stocker, with both leaders expected to review the full spectrum of Pakistan–Austria relations and explore avenues for enhanced cooperation.

As part of the visit, the Prime Minister will chair a meeting of the Pakistan–Austria Business Forum, organised by the Austrian Economic Chamber (WKO), aimed at strengthening trade and investment ties between the two countries. He is also scheduled to visit key multilateral organisations based in Vienna.

Pakistan and Austria share cordial and friendly relations, rooted in common values of dialogue and cooperation, support for multilateralism, an international order based on the principles of the United Nations Charter, and respect for international law.

This visit marks a significant diplomatic milestone, as it will be the first visit by a Pakistani Prime Minister to Austria in over three decades. The last such visit was undertaken in 1992 by then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
