Rawalpindi, February 19, 2026: Pakistan’s security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat District during the night of February 18/19, eliminating four terrorists linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al Khwarij, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.
According to ISPR, the operation was launched on reported presence of Khwarij in the area. During the conduct of the operation, security forces effectively engaged the terrorist hideout, and following an intense exchange of fire, four Khwarij were killed.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the Indian-sponsored terrorists, who, according to the military, had been actively involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.
ISPR said a sanitization operation is currently underway to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored Khwarij present in the area.
The statement added that the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace. Security forces and law enforcement agencies, it said, remain committed to eradicating the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
