Rawalpindi, February 25, 2026: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Wednesday that Pakistan’s Security Forces conducted a series of high-tempo, intelligence-driven operations targeting Indian-backed terrorist groups Fitna Al Khwarij and Fitna Al Hindustan, neutralizing 34 militants across multiple districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan over the past few days.
On February 24, 2026, 26 militants belonging to Fitna Al Khwarij were killed in four separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while eight terrorists from Fitna Al Hindustan were eliminated in Sambaza, Balochistan.
Security forces intercepted a group of militants near Hassan Khel, North Waziristan, attempting to infiltrate from the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The operation resulted in the elimination of one militant, identified as an Afghan national affiliated with Fitna Al Khwarij.
In Lakki Marwat, an intelligence-based raid led to the successful neutralization of three militants after a heavy exchange of fire. Simultaneously, operations in Bannu (general area Narmi Khel) and North Waziristan (general area Mir Ali) resulted in the elimination of 10 and 12 terrorists, respectively.
During a fifth engagement in Sambaza, Zhob, eight terrorists affiliated with Fitna Al Hindustan were successfully neutralized. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the deceased militants, who were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.
The ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s Security Forces remain resolute in defending the nation’s frontiers. Ongoing sanitization operations continue to target any remaining foreign-sponsored militants as part of the relentless counter-terrorism campaign “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved under the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. Security Forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eliminating all foreign-backed terrorism threats from Pakistan.
