Islamabad, April 5, 2026: President of Pakistan has extended warm Easter greetings to Christian citizens across the country and to Christian communities worldwide, highlighting the values of compassion, hope, and renewal associated with the occasion.
In his message, the President said Easter carries a powerful message of rebirth, redemption, and the triumph of good over evil. He noted that these values are reflected in Pakistan’s social fabric, where members of the Christian community continue to play a vital role in national life.
He acknowledged the contributions of Pakistani Christians in key sectors including education, healthcare, public service, and the armed forces, stating that their role is integral to the country’s progress and development.
Recalling historical contributions, the President paid tribute to S. P. Singha for his role during the creation of Pakistan, and to Cecil Chaudhry for his bravery during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965.
He reiterated that the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah—based on equality, freedom, and security for all citizens regardless of religion or ethnicity—remains central to the state. He emphasized that these principles are enshrined in the Constitution of Pakistan, which guarantees equal rights and protection to all citizens.
The President reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding the life, property, honour, and security of minority communities, and to ensuring their full participation in national development.
Urging unity and mutual respect, he called on citizens to act with responsibility and uphold harmony in their daily interactions, workplaces, and communities, noting that a strong and stable society depends on collective conduct.
Concluding his message, the President wished the Christian community a blessed and joyous Easter.
