Islamabad, April 9, 2026: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation with Ronald Lamola, Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa, to discuss the latest developments in the Middle East and the broader region.
According to a statement issued by the Office of the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders exchanged views on ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability.
During the conversation, Minister Lamola appreciated Pakistan’s role in helping achieve a temporary ceasefire and expressed hope for lasting peace. He also conveyed South Africa’s support for Pakistan’s efforts in advancing regional stability through dialogue and diplomacy.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and South Africa. They emphasized the importance of enhancing high-level exchanges to deepen cooperation across various sectors of mutual interest.
The interaction reflects the growing partnership between Islamabad and Pretoria and underscores their shared commitment to promoting global peace, stability, and multilateral cooperation.
