Albert David calls on Isphanyar Bhandara, discusses minority rights

Islamabad, April 10, 2026: Mr. Albert David, MBE, a distinguished socio-political activist and former Advisor to the Government of Punjab on Minority Affairs, called on Mr. Isphanyar Bhandara in Islamabad on Friday.

Albert David, who has also served as a member of the National Commission for Minorities, congratulated Mr. Bhandara on his nomination by the Prime Minister as a member of the Parliamentary Committee tasked with appointing the Chairperson of the National Commission for Minorities Rights.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed issues concerning minority communities, focusing on their welfare, empowerment, and the promotion of interfaith harmony in Pakistan.

On the occasion, Mr. Bhandara presented Mr. David with a copy of Calling a Spade a Spade, a compilation of selected writings by his late father, M.P. Bhandara.

The meeting underscored a shared commitment to safeguarding minority rights and fostering an inclusive and pluralistic society in Pakistan.
