Islamabad, April 13, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper on Monday, during which both sides exchanged views on regional developments following the recently held Islamabad Talks.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, discussions focused on the recent direct negotiations between the United States and Iran, as well as broader regional security dynamics.

The UK Foreign Secretary appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in facilitating dialogue and promoting peace and stability in the region, acknowledging Islamabad’s diplomatic engagement in de-escalation efforts.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar underscored the importance of full respect for and implementation of the existing ceasefire, reiterating Pakistan’s consistent position that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path toward resolving regional disputes.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued commitment to supporting all efforts aimed at sustaining peace and encouraging constructive engagement among concerned parties.

Both leaders agreed on the importance of continued communication and coordination in light of evolving regional developments, reflecting the shared interest of Islamabad and London in promoting stability and peaceful resolution of conflicts.
