Quetta, November 6, 2024 – Chief Minister Balochistan, Sarfraz Bugti has announced that the government will offer interest-free loans to young people presenting viable business plans.

Speaking at an event in Quetta on Iqbal Day, Bugti highlighted the shift in Balochistan’s employment landscape, stating, “Jobs were once sold, but now they will be granted on merit.”

During his address, he also touched on corruption in road construction projects and urged young people to avoid falling prey to divisive narratives based on ethnicity, instead encouraging them to verify facts independently.

Bugti emphasized that the unity of identity as Pakistanis should transcend ethnic affiliations, warning that conspiracies based on ethnic divisions are being promoted in the country. He underscored corruption as Balochistan’s most pressing issue, linking it to terrorism and violence in the province. “The new generation must wage a campaign against corruption,” he said.

He also pledged government support for educational opportunities, particularly for underprivileged students, through scholarships. Bugti voiced concerns about youth being misled via social media, highlighting efforts to send young women abroad for higher education, in contrast to extremists who manipulate them into dangerous activities like suicide attacks.
