Islamabad, June 3,2026: High Commissioner of Rwanda to Pakistan, Harerimana Fatou, witnessed the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority and the Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority, marking a significant step forward in bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement reflects the shared commitment of Pakistan and Rwanda to enhancing collaboration in the peaceful applications of nuclear energy and strengthening regulatory frameworks for sustainable national development.
Speaking on the occasion, High Commissioner Harerimana Fatou described the MoU as a major milestone in Rwanda-Pakistan relations, underscoring the growing partnership between the two countries in the fields of science, technology, and capacity building.
The agreement is expected to facilitate the exchange of expertise, regulatory knowledge, and best practices between the two authorities, while promoting cooperation in nuclear safety, security, and the peaceful use of nuclear technology.
Officials said the MoU demonstrates the mutual resolve of Pakistan and Rwanda to deepen bilateral engagement and leverage technological cooperation to support socio-economic development and innovation in both countries.
