Islamabad, June 7,2026: Deputy Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Syedal Khan, has strongly condemned the tragic acid attack on Dr. Mah Noor in Balochistan, describing it as a cowardly, inhumane, and intolerable act.
In a detailed statement, he said that Dr. Mah Noor is the daughter of the entire nation, particularly of Balochistan, who has dedicated herself to the service of humanity. He stated that doctors are a source of national pride, deserving of utmost respect and dignity, and that any form of violence against them is absolutely unacceptable.
The Deputy Chairman Senate said that this unfortunate incident has deeply saddened not only the medical community but the entire nation. He expressed his best wishes for Dr. Mah Noor’s swift recovery and urged the relevant authorities to ensure the provision of the best possible medical treatment and facilities to facilitate her complete recovery.
He further stated that he is personally in contact with the Government of Balochistan, the relevant institutions, and Dr. Mah Noor’s family regarding the matter.
Referring to the perpetrator involved in the incident having been brought to justice, he remarked that the prompt response of law enforcement agencies is commendable. However, he emphasized the need for effective and sustainable measures to prevent such tragic incidents in the future so that no daughter, doctor, or citizen has to face such violence again.
Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan also appreciated the support and assistance extended by the Government of Balochistan to the injured Dr. Mah Noor and expressed gratitude for the provincial government’s prompt attention and cooperation. He reaffirmed that ensuring a safe, dignified, and conducive environment for doctors, particularly female doctors, is the need of the hour.
In conclusion, he said that the entire nation stands with Dr. Mah Noor and prays for her speedy and complete recovery. Such cowardly acts cannot weaken our collective resolve; rather, they further strengthen our commitment to justice, security, and the rule of law.
