Pakistan, Türkiye welcome progress in US-Iran understanding, reaffirm support for regional peace

Islamabad, June 14, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss the evolving regional situation and recent diplomatic developments.

During the call, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on regional issues and welcomed the encouraging progress towards an understanding between the United States and Iran.

Both leaders expressed optimism that the positive diplomatic momentum would contribute to lasting peace, stability, and security across the region.

The two sides also underscored the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation in addressing regional challenges and agreed to remain in close contact regarding further developments.

The conversation reflects the close coordination between Pakistan and Türkiye on regional and international matters of mutual interest.
