Dar, Egyptian FM discuss regional developments, welcome progress in US-Iran understanding

Islamabad, June 14, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Egypt’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, to discuss the evolving regional situation and recent diplomatic developments.

During the call, the two leaders exchanged views on the latest developments in the region, including progress towards an understanding between the United States and Iran.

They welcomed the positive momentum in diplomatic engagement and expressed hope that these developments would contribute to lasting peace, security, and stability across the region.

The two foreign ministers also reaffirmed the importance of continued dialogue and coordination on regional issues of mutual concern and agreed to remain in close contact regarding future developments.

The conversation reflects the shared interest of Pakistan and Egypt in promoting peace and stability in the wider region
