Islamabad, June 27, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace and stability in the region and beyond.
According to the Foreign Office, Dar reiterated Pakistan’s readiness to play a constructive role in advancing the peace process and promoting regional stability.
During the conversation, Araghchi appreciated Pakistan’s continued support for peace initiatives and thanked Islamabad for facilitating the safe and smooth repatriation of Iranian crew members and fishermen to their homeland.
The two foreign ministers also agreed to remain in close contact on matters of mutual interest and regional developments.
