Mauritius, UK discuss regional issues and Commonwealth cooperation

Islamabad, July 29, 2026: High Commissioner of Mauritius to Pakistan Munsoo Kurrimbaccus paid a courtesy call on British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott, during which the two diplomats exchanged views on regional and international developments and explored avenues for enhanced cooperation.

During the meeting, the two sides held constructive discussions on a range of important issues, including the evolving situation in the Middle East, as well as matters related to trade, education and cooperation within the Commonwealth framework.

High Commissioner Kurrimbaccus appreciated the warm welcome, cordiality and hospitality extended by the British High Commissioner, describing the interaction as a valuable opportunity to strengthen diplomatic engagement and mutual understanding.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of Mauritius and the United Kingdom to continued dialogue and cooperation on issues of common interest at bilateral, regional and international forums.
