Islamabad, July 30, 2026: Pakistan and Belarus have agreed to further strengthen bilateral defence cooperation, with a particular focus on military collaboration, joint training, technology exchange and defence industrial partnership.
The understanding was reached during a meeting at Air Headquarters in Islamabad between Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and a high-level Belarusian defence delegation led by Major General Muraveiko Pavel Nikolayevich, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and First Deputy Defence Minister of Belarus.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, the regional security environment, defence cooperation and opportunities to expand military collaboration.
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu reaffirmed the Pakistan Air Force’s commitment to enhancing bilateral defence ties, emphasizing the importance of broadening cooperation through joint training programmes, military exercises, technological collaboration and partnerships in the defence industry.
The Belarusian delegation praised the Pakistan Air Force’s operational preparedness, technological advancements and growing self-reliance, expressing Belarus’ commitment to further expanding defence cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting reflected the shared resolve of Pakistan and Belarus to deepen defence relations and advance collaboration in areas of mutual interest, according to the ISPR.
