Birmingham, September 10, 2026: Pakistan suffered several unwanted records on Thursday as England tightened their grip on the third and final Test of the ongoing series at Edgbaston.
Already 2-0 down in the series, Pakistan were bowled out for just 133 in 33.5 overs after England’s pace trio of Josh Tongue, Jofra Archer and Ollie Robinson dismantled their batting lineup.
England responded with a commanding 453 all out in 89 overs, with five batters registering half-centuries, to secure a massive 320-run first-innings lead.
The advantage is England’s fifth-highest first-innings lead against Pakistan in Test cricket.

Robinson also created a notable piece of history with his aggressive half-century.
Batting at No. 9 after England were reduced to 331/7, Robinson smashed a 47-ball 50, featuring seven fours and a six.
He became England’s first No. 9 or lower batter to score a Test half-century against Pakistan since Stuart Broad’s remarkable 169 at Lord’s in 2010.
Robinson’s innings further compounded Pakistan’s problems after Emilio Gay, Harry Brook, Dan Lawrence and Jamie Smith had already scored half-centuries for the hosts.
