Rawalpindi, September 14, 2026: Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Al Hajjar called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF), at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Monday during his two-day visit to Pakistan.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, the evolving regional security situation and prospects for further strengthening bilateral relations in the security domain.
The importance of strengthening institutional linkages and promoting greater cooperation between the security institutions of Pakistan and Lebanon was also emphasised.
Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Lebanon and expressed the desire to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation in areas of shared interest.
The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s contributions towards regional peace and stability and acknowledged the professionalism and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism.
