Islamabad, February 12, 2025: The United States Embassy has issued a security warning to its citizens following the release of a video by the banned militant group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which allegedly threatens a terrorist attack on Faisal Mosque in Islamabad.

According to media reports, the US embassy has alerted its staff and American citizens, urging them to exercise caution. The security advisory warns of a potential terrorist attack and advises US nationals to avoid the area as a precautionary measure.

The embassy further instructed its personnel and citizens to remain vigilant, maintain personal security awareness, and monitor local media for updates. Additionally, it advised them to carry identification documents while traveling.

A special contact number has also been provided by the US embassy for American citizens requiring assistance.

Security agencies in Islamabad are reportedly assessing the situation, and heightened security measures around Faisal Mosque are expected in response to the alert.
