Rawalpindi, April 11, 2025: The 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) launched in spectacular fashion on Friday evening, as Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium played host to a vibrant opening ceremony filled with music, energy, and celebration.
The ceremony opened with a powerful performance by legendary Sufi singer Abida Parveen, setting a soulful tone before high-energy acts by Ali Zafar, Abrar-ul-Haq, Natasha Baig, and Talha Anjum took center stage. The performers, who also collaborated on the official PSL 10 anthem, energized the crowd with their dynamic showmanship.
A stunning fireworks display lit up the night sky, drawing cheers from thousands of fans in attendance and millions watching across the country, all eagerly awaiting the start of Pakistan’s premier T20 tournament.
Organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), this season will feature 34 matches played across four major venues: Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi. The tournament will run from April 11 to May 18, with the grand final scheduled at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
The opening clash of the season pits defending champions Islamabad United against two-time titleholders Lahore Qalandars, with the first ball set to be bowled at 8:30 PM.
