DI Khan, March 14, 2025: Security forces successfully neutralized two terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Sikandar Shumali village, Dera Ismail Khan, following credible reports of militant activity, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.

The operation comes a day after security forces thwarted a suicide attack on a Frontier Corps (FC) checkpost in Jandola, South Waziristan, eliminating 10 terrorists. According to sources, the attackers launched an assault on the checkpost, but the swift response of security personnel repelled the threat. A suicide bomber was among those killed in the retaliatory action.

In a broader counterterrorism effort, security forces eliminated 156 terrorists in February alone, underscoring their commitment to national security.

Meanwhile, earlier today, Inter-Services Public Relations Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti addressed a press conference regarding the recent Jaffar Express attack. Lt Gen Chaudhry detailed how terrorists targeted the train on a difficult route, complicating security forces’ access to the site. The attack was carried out using improvised explosive devices (IEDs), he added.
