Ghotki, March 16, 2025: The convoy of Sindh MPA Jam Mehtab came under attack near Daharki, Ghotki district, resulting in the deaths of his guard and driver, while two other guards sustained serious injuries. The attack occurred near the Daharki Narli Bridge, though Jam Mehtab himself remained unharmed.

Following the attack, police cordoned off the area and launched an investigation. According to reports, the body of the deceased guard and the injured were initially taken to Daharki Hospital, before the wounded were later shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan for further treatment.

A spokesperson from Jam House stated that Jam Mehtab was visiting his agricultural lands when the convoy was ambushed. The MPA accused former Sindh MPA Shehryar Shar of orchestrating the attack and vowed to take revenge.

Sindh Chief Minister took notice of the incident and strongly condemned the attack, directing the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh to ensure the immediate arrest of the culprits. Meanwhile, Sindh Interior Minister Zia Hassan Lanjar has sought a detailed report from SSP Ghotki regarding the incident.
