Rawalpindi, April 7, 2025: In a successful intelligence-based operation, security forces eliminated nine Khwarij terrorists, including a high-value target and ring leader, Shireen, in the Takwara area of Dera Ismail Khan district.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the militants.

Shireen, the Khwarij leader, was on the most-wanted list of law enforcement agencies due to his involvement in numerous terrorist activities. He was directly responsible for the targeted killings of innocent civilians and played a key role in the martyrdom of Captain Hasnain Akhtar.

The ISPR stated that the operation not only neutralized a major threat but also served as justice for the fallen. A follow-up sanitization operation is currently underway to ensure the area is cleared of any remaining militants.

Reaffirming its commitment, the ISPR emphasized that security forces remain resolute in their mission to eradicate terrorism and ensure lasting peace across the country.
