Beirut, September 18,2024- After the explosions in pager devices in Lebanon yesterday, walkie-talkies have also exploded, resulting in the deaths of four people. Following the blasts in communication devices, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati has called for a United Nations Security Council meeting.

According to Lebanese media, walkie-talkie explosions have also occurred in the eastern and southern regions of Lebanon. These explosions have left four dead and over 100 injured.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah sources told Arab media that walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah members in Beirut were among those that exploded. They also mentioned that two walkie-talkie devices placed in vehicles in Beirut detonated as well.

Eyewitnesses, as reported by Arab media, stated that explosions occurred during funerals, affecting people using their phones. It has been reported that the blasts caused fires in homes and vehicles.

Arab media also reported two explosions in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, and one in a vehicle in Tyre.

It’s worth noting that a day earlier, pager devices used by Hezbollah exploded, killing nine people and injuring over three thousand. Hezbollah has blamed Israel for the blasts.
