Khuzdar, May 21, 2025: A suicide blast struck a school bus near Zero Point on the National Highway in Khuzdar on Wednesday, claiming the lives of three children and two teachers. At least 38 others, mostly students, sustained injuries in the attack.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the explosion completely destroyed the bus. The injured were swiftly transported to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Khuzdar for emergency medical care.

Police officials confirmed that the blast caused severe damage to the vehicle, and a search operation has been launched in the surrounding area. Law enforcement and security personnel reached the scene shortly after the incident to secure the area and begin investigations.

Authorities stated that additional details will be released as the situation develops.

The attack comes amid a troubling uptick in militant violence in Balochistan, which officials say is being fueled by India-sponsored terrorist groups. While several plots have recently been foiled by security forces, this tragic incident highlights the ongoing threat posed by banned militant outfits targeting civilians in the region.
