ISPR condemns cowardly attack on school bus in Khuzdar; vows to bring Indian-backed proxies to justice

Khuzdar, May 21, 2025: A suicide attack targeting a school bus near Zero Point on the National Highway in Khuzdar has been strongly condemned by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). In an official statement released on Wednesday, the ISPR termed the attack “despicable and cowardly,” confirming the martyrdom of three schoolchildren and two teachers, while 38 others sustained injuries and are receiving medical treatment at CMH Khuzdar.

The ISPR stated that this brutal act is yet another grim reminder of the continued use of terrorism as a tool of state policy by India. “Having failed in direct and indirect confrontations, India has resorted once again to targeting soft civilian targets through its sponsored terrorist proxies operating in Balochistan,” the statement read.

The military’s media wing emphasized that those responsible for planning, facilitating, and executing this attack will be relentlessly pursued and brought to justice. “Targeting innocent children is a reflection of the moral bankruptcy and desperation of those who aim to destabilize Pakistan through such barbaric means,” it added.

Referring to recent counter-terrorism efforts, ISPR noted that despite facing severe setbacks during operations such as Operation Bunyad-e-Amn Marsoos, anti-state elements continue to act as pawns of foreign agendas. However, such actions, the statement said, will not shake the resolve of the Pakistani state or its people.

Reaffirming its commitment, ISPR stated: “The Pakistan Armed Forces, with the full support of the courageous Pakistani nation, are determined to root out terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. These cowardly attacks will only strengthen our unity, resolve, and determination to defend every inch of our homeland.”
