Lahore, May 26, 2025: Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Shah Afridi has taken the internet by storm with a viral photo showing him proudly posing with three Pakistan Super League (PSL) trophies — a tribute to his unmatched leadership in franchise history.

The iconic image, shared by Afridi on social platform X with the caption “Good morning 😊”, quickly caught fire online, garnering praise from fans and cricket pundits alike. The photo came on the heels of Qalandars’ thrilling victory over Quetta Gladiators in the PSL 10 final at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, marking the team’s third consecutive championship under Afridi’s captaincy.

With this historic win, the 25-year-old left-arm pacer has now become the most successful captain in PSL history. No other captain has led a team to more than one title before.

Fans flooded social media with tributes, hailing Afridi as both the best captain and best bowler of the tournament. Many pointed to his tactical brilliance and unwavering calm under pressure as key to Lahore’s dominance in recent seasons.

Afridi’s own performance was equally stellar. He finished the tournament as the leading wicket-taker, earning the prestigious Fazal Mahmood Cap after claiming 19 wickets in 12 matches. His crucial breakthroughs and strategic captaincy were instrumental in Lahore Qalandars clinching back-to-back titles in 2022, 2023, and now 2025.

As the cricketing world celebrates this historic achievement, Afridi’s simple morning greeting — now accompanied by three gleaming trophies — has become a symbol of dominance, consistency, and quiet confidence.
