Islamabad, May 29, 2025: Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir (Nishan-e-Imtiaz Military) held an insightful interaction with vice chancellors, principals, and senior faculty from across Pakistan, emphasizing the vital role of educators in shaping national identity and securing Pakistan’s future.
In a wide-ranging discussion focused on education, national values, and sovereignty, Gen Munir described teachers as Pakistan’s greatest national asset, crediting his own journey to the values instilled by his parents and mentors.
“The future of Pakistan lies in the hands of those who guide and nurture its next generations,” he said.
The Army Chief urged educators to take ownership of their role in transmitting Pakistan’s history, culture, and values to their students. Citing recent national crises, he noted that unity and divine support had consistently served as the nation’s strongest defenses.
“A united Pakistan is an unbreakable Pakistan,” he remarked.
On the Kashmir issue, Gen Munir reiterated Pakistan’s uncompromising stance.
“Pakistan will never forget Kashmir, and there can be no settlement that overlooks the rights of Kashmiris,” he declared. “India must realize that Pakistan will continue to stand firmly with the Kashmiri people.”
He further stressed that water is Pakistan’s red line, pledging to defend the water rights of the nation’s 240 million citizens with full resolve.
Addressing security concerns in Balochistan, Gen Munir stated that terrorism in the province is foreign-funded and has no support among local communities. He also rejected any notion of regional submission, saying:
“Pakistan will never accept Indian hegemony.”
He added that terrorism in India is a domestic problem, driven by rising intolerance and oppression of minorities, especially Muslims.
In conclusion, the COAS presented his vision for a strong, stable, and law-abiding Pakistan, where all institutions function within the bounds of the Constitution, free from personal or political agendas.
He urged the public to reject any narratives that undermine the state, and during the interactive Q&A session, participants expressed their pride in the armed forces and reaffirmed their unwavering support for the military.
