Rawalpindi, July 17, 2025: In a dramatic and high-risk operation, the Pakistan Army successfully rescued multiple families trapped by rising floodwaters amid relentless monsoon rains sweeping across Punjab.
One of the most critical rescue missions took place near Chakri Road in Rawalpindi, where a family had been stranded on the rooftop of their home in Ladian village after floodwaters rapidly engulfed the area. Battling treacherous weather conditions, an Army helicopter crew executed a precision aerial operation, safely airlifting all three family members to safety.
Army rescue operations are also underway in other heavily affected areas, including Rasool Nagar Khurd, Burhan Nala, and Dhok Badar in Jhelum, where continuous downpours have led to severe flooding. Military teams are distributing life jackets, delivering emergency medical aid, and evacuating stranded individuals using helicopters and other resources.
With flood threats persisting across multiple districts, both civil and military authorities remain on high alert. Joint operations are ongoing to ensure swift response and maximum support for affected citizens.
