Layla’s drama was very popular at the time, and Shakeel Sahib was already a legend. Just being invited was a huge honour. We were in a VIP celebrity pavilion—it all felt surreal.”
She went on to describe the moment when reality struck: “Shehnaz and I stepped outside and got into a car. It was daytime, but within seconds, everything went dark because the car was completely surrounded by people. The match had just ended, and fans poured out of the stadium. As the car started moving, Shehnaz and I looked at each other—it was an unforgettable realization. It wasn’t about feeling important; the whole experience was just overwhelming and surreal.”
The heartfelt anecdote offered fans a rare glimpse into the life of a television icon whose work continues to inspire generations.
