Karachi, August 28, 2025: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday released its audited financial statements for the fiscal year 2024-25, posting a net profit of Rs2,500 billion.

In accordance with Section 40(3) of the State Bank of Pakistan Act, 1956, the central bank submitted the statements, along with the auditors’ report, to the Federal Government and the Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament).

After statutory appropriations, the SBP transferred a surplus of Rs2,428 billion to the federal exchequer — a major support to the government’s fiscal operations.

The central bank said the publication of the financial statements reflects its commitment to transparency, accountability, and regulatory compliance, while reaffirming its pivotal role in managing Pakistan’s monetary and financial stability.
