PM Shehbaz reaffirms Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestine

Islamabad, September 5, 2025: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday met Mahmoud Siddiqui Alhabash, Adviser to the President of Palestine on Religious Affairs and Chief Justice of the Shariat Court, who is leading the Palestinian delegation to Pakistan for the Seerat Conference. The delegation also included the Imam of Al Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian Ambassador.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister conveyed warm greetings to President Mahmoud Abbas and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, stressing that Pakistan would continue to stand firmly with the brotherly people of Palestine who have made immense sacrifices in the face of Israeli aggression.

“Pakistan will continue to raise its voice with full force at every diplomatic forum for the rights of the Palestinian people,” the Prime Minister assured, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office.

Highlighting the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza, PM Shehbaz reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to continue dispatching humanitarian aid for Palestinians suffering under what he described as a “man-made famine imposed by Israeli occupation forces.”

Adviser Mahmoud Siddiqui Alhabash expressed deep gratitude on behalf of the Palestinian people, acknowledging Pakistan’s consistent and unwavering diplomatic, moral, and humanitarian support. He said that in these challenging times, Pakistan remained a source of strength for Palestinians.

The Palestinian side also conveyed condolences over the recent floods in Pakistan and handed over a letter from President Mahmoud Abbas to the Prime Minister.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Ministers Attaullah Tarar and Sardar Mohammad Yousuf, Special Assistant to PM Tariq Fatemi, Chairman Islamic Council, as well as the Foreign and Religious Affairs Secretaries.
