Dubai, September 13, 2025: Anticipation is running high as arch-rivals Pakistan and India prepare to face off tomorrow in their first encounter since border tensions flared earlier this year.

The Indian cricket team is scheduled to train today at the ICC Academy to fine-tune preparations for the high-stakes Asia Cup 2025 clash. Meanwhile, demand for match tickets has soared, with stadium organizers reporting a sharp surge in sales.

Speaking to the media at the ICC Academy, India’s batting coach Sitanshu Kotak said the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had aligned itself with the government’s stance regarding the match and emphasized that the team’s focus remained firmly on cricket.

“When the BCCI said it stands by the government’s decision, our only focus became the match itself. A Pakistan versus India contest is always exciting, and that is where the players’ concentration lies,” Kotak noted.

The game promises to be one of the highlights of the tournament, carrying both sporting and symbolic weight for fans on both sides of the border.
