Dubai, September 26, 2025: Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to field first against India in their ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 Super Four clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday.

The two sides have a long T20I history, facing each other 31 times, with India holding a dominant edge of 21 victories compared to Sri Lanka’s nine. Their most recent encounter came in July, when India swept the bilateral series 3-0 in Pallekele.

India enter the fixture on the back of strong form, riding a seven-match winning streak. In contrast, defending champions Sri Lanka have struggled, losing their last two games and already being eliminated from the race for a place in the Asia Cup 2025 final.
