Lahore, September 30, 2025: Legendary comedian Lucky Dear, a cherished name in Pakistan’s theatre, television, and film industry, passed away in Lahore on Tuesday at the age of 60 after a prolonged illness.

The veteran artist had been under treatment at Mayo Hospital for the past several months, battling lung disease and diabetes. His condition worsened in recent weeks as he slipped into a coma, with doctors reporting failure of multiple organs. Despite continuous medical care, he could not recover.

His funeral prayers was offered after Asr in Baghbanpura, Lahore, where friends, fans, and fellow artists are expected to bid farewell.

With a career spanning over four decades, Lucky Dear entertained generations with his unmatched comic timing and distinct style. He appeared in hundreds of dramas and films and remained a prominent figure in Lahore’s vibrant stage theatre scene, carving a place among the country’s most beloved comedians.

Colleagues and protégés remember him as a humble, passionate performer who inspired younger artists and continued working despite personal and health challenges. His ability to spread joy during testing times remains one of his most celebrated traits.

As news of his passing broke, tributes poured in from fans and celebrities nationwide. Social media platforms were filled with messages of grief and gratitude, with many recalling his performances as timeless sources of laughter.

Lucky Dear’s passing marks the end of an era in Pakistan’s comedy landscape, but his legacy of humor and dedication will continue to resonate with audiences for years to come.
