Rabwah, October 10, 2025: A terrorist opened fire during Friday prayers at the Mahdi Worship Place in Rabwah, injuring six members of the Ahmadiyya community before being shot dead by security volunteers. Two of the victims are reported to be in critical condition.

According to eyewitnesses, the attacker arrived carrying a bag and began shooting at Ahmadi volunteers stationed at the mosque entrance for crowd management and security. The sudden gunfire sparked panic among worshippers, many of whom rushed for cover inside the mosque.

Security volunteers and local guards quickly retaliated, killing the assailant before he could inflict further casualties. The situation was brought under control within minutes as rescue teams reached the site to provide emergency aid.

All six injured were taken to a nearby hospital in Rabwah. Medical officials confirmed that two remain in critical condition, while the rest are being treated for gunshot wounds.

Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation to identify the attacker, trace possible accomplices, and determine the motive behind the assault.

The attack once again underscores the persistent security threats faced by the Ahmadi community in Pakistan, which has long been targeted by extremist violence and discrimination. Despite repeated appeals for protection, attacks on Ahmadi worship places and gatherings continue to occur.

Authorities have not yet released an official statement regarding the incident. Community leaders have urged the government to take decisive measures to ensure the safety of Ahmadis, particularly during religious congregations.
