Jerusalem/Islamabad, October 27, 2025: Israeli media have reported that Pakistani troops may be included in a proposed international peacekeeping force for Gaza, which aims to stabilize the region after a two-year conflict.
According to The Times of Israel, Israeli defense officials briefed lawmakers in closed-door sessions about plans for the multinational force, mentioning possible participation from Indonesia, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan. The reports, however, have not been officially confirmed by any of the countries involved.
Indonesia has already offered troops for the mission, while Azerbaijan has expressed its willingness to contribute. Pakistan’s role remains uncertain, with no official statement issued so far.
The proposed force is intended to restore security and prevent renewed escalation in Gaza once the ongoing hostilities subside. Participating nations would reportedly provide personnel, equipment, and logistical support for peace and humanitarian operations.
Reacting to the media reports, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, said the Foreign Ministry would issue a formal response at an appropriate time. He stressed that no decision had yet been made and that the matter was under careful review.
If Pakistan decides to join, analysts say it would mark a significant diplomatic step, underscoring Islamabad’s support for international peace efforts and humanitarian engagement in the Middle East. The proposal remains under consideration, with no final announcements from either Islamabad or Tel Aviv.
