Lahore, November 2, 2025: Star batter Babar Azam penned a heartfelt message after Pakistan clinched the three-match T20I series 2–1 with a commanding victory over South Africa in the final encounter at the Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Babar expressed gratitude for his return to form and the support he received from fans and teammates.

“Grateful to be back doing what I love. Thankful for those who believed when it was quiet,” he wrote.

The prolific right-hander led from the front with an unbeaten 68 off 47 balls, including nine boundaries, steering Pakistan to a six-wicket win with six balls to spare while chasing a target of 140.

Agha Salman contributed a valuable 33 off 26 deliveries, while Faheem Ashraf and Usman Khan ensured Pakistan crossed the line despite a brief middle-order hiccup.

Earlier, captain Agha Salman’s decision to bowl first paid dividends as Pakistan’s bowlers, led by Shaheen Afridi and Salman Mirza, struck early to restrict the visitors to 139 for nine in their allotted overs.

With the T20I series concluded, both teams will now head to Faisalabad for a three-match ODI series, scheduled from November 4 to 8.
