Karachi, November 11,2025: Major airlines operating from Pakistan’s key airports faced widespread disruptions on Monday, with several domestic and international flights cancelled and others delayed, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded and frustrated.

According to flight schedules, Qatar Airways cancelled its round-trip flights QR604 and QR605 between Karachi and Doha. AirSial also scrapped multiple domestic operations, including flights 121 and 122 on the Karachi–Islamabad route, and several Karachi–Lahore flights — 141, 142, 143, 144, 125, and 126.

Meanwhile, SalamAir cancelled its Muscat–Karachi service, citing “operational reasons.”

The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) continued to experience major schedule disruptions amid ongoing internal challenges.

  • PK300 from Karachi to Islamabad was delayed by five hours
  • Karachi to Lahore flight faced a delay of one hour and 20 minutes,
  • Islamabad to Karachi flights PK301 and PK309 were delayed by four hours and one hour, respectively.
  • Flights to Gilgit and Toronto were also delayed by 42 minutes and 30 minutes.
  • PIA’s PK455 from Karachi to Skardu was cancelled entirely.

Among other carriers, AirBlue’s PA401 from Lahore to Karachi departed 48 minutes late, while PIA’s PK303 on the same route took off one hour behind schedule. Qatar Airways flight 611 to Doha also faced a brief 10-minute delay.

Sources in the aviation sector attributed the disruptions to operational bottlenecks, while officials pointed to PIA’s ongoing dispute with its aircraft engineers as a major factor compounding the crisis.

Passengers across Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad expressed frustration over the lack of timely updates and poor communication from airline staff.

“We’ve been waiting at the terminal for over four hours with no clear information,” said a passenger waiting to board a delayed Karachi–Islamabad flight.

Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on when normal flight operations are expected to resume.
