Lahore, December 7,2025: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Sunday launched a blistering critique of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), accusing the party of harming national interests and failing to provide effective governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), where it has held power for over a decade.
Addressing PML-N workers in Lahore’s NA-127 constituency, Tarar claimed the PTI government had “turned the province into ruins” despite ruling KP for 12 years. He alleged the party had not initiated “a single major development project” during its tenure.
Tarar reiterated long-standing allegations that the PTI founder “looted £190 million” and sought to push Pakistan toward default. He further accused him of misappropriating funds intended for hospitals and welfare initiatives.
The information minister said the “enemy fears” Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, asserting that Pakistan’s armed forces had shot down seven “enemy aircraft” under his leadership. Tarar also credited the field marshal with contributing to the stabilisation of Pakistan’s economy.
Commenting on the PTI’s recent political activity, Tarar said the party’s public gathering at Peshawar’s Sunday Bazaar was an “utter failure.” He alleged that during its time in power, PTI sidelined both the Kashmir and Palestine issues.
He also criticised the PTI founder’s sisters, claiming they had appeared on Indian media to speak against Pakistan’s armed forces. “They should be ashamed,” he said.
Tarar added that the PTI’s slogan of “no Khan, no Pakistan” was unacceptable and rejected by the public. He accused the party of taking positions that allegedly aligned with “enemy interests,” including writing to the IMF to discourage financial support for Pakistan.
Tarar said the PML-N-led government was fulfilling its election commitments, contrasting it with what he described as PTI’s record of “actions the enemy wanted.”
The minister urged party workers to remain united and vigilant, asserting that the PML-N was committed to strengthening national institutions and ensuring political stability.
