Islamabad, December 13,2025: Pakistan’s Federal Minister of State for Interior, Senator Talal Chaudhry, on Saturday confirmed that the government is actively working to bring back fugitives who have been declared wanted in Pakistan to face legal proceedings.
Speaking to the media, Senator Chaudhry said several of these individuals have already faced judgments in British courts for spreading false narratives and misinformation. “They were creating false narratives, selling lies, and making misleading statements. The punishments they received were not imposed by Pakistan but by the UK legal system and courts,” he clarified.
The minister warned that these fugitives not only harm Pakistan’s image but also damage the reputation of the United Kingdom. He emphasized that Pakistan has the legal authority to take action against anyone engaged in spreading misinformation or defaming the country. “Every person involved in such activities is liable to face legal consequences in Pakistan,” he added.
When asked whether Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is coordinating with British authorities on these cases alongside the Interior Ministry, Chaudhry said the matter is a national issue rather than an individual case. He stated that all relevant government departments are fulfilling their duties and coordinating as needed.
Senator Chaudhry also highlighted attempts by these individuals to delete old videos from social media platforms, suggesting they are trying to evade accountability and distance themselves from previous statements. “Why are they backtracking now? Why are they trying to separate themselves?” he questioned, implying their credibility has been compromised.
The minister’s remarks come amid ongoing efforts by Pakistani authorities to strengthen legal measures against fugitives abroad and ensure that justice is served. He reaffirmed the Interior Ministry’s commitment to uphold the rule of law, protect Pakistan’s reputation, and collaborate with international authorities on cross-border legal matters.
